Bruce, I have a freind with a 1957 172 straight tail. 0300 engine. He had simular problems, it turned out to be the Mag or Mags. I do not remember the cause exactly, he had them checked and I think rebuilt and no more problem. I really do not see why you have the problem either, sounds like somethin...

George, I never have been ramp checked either. I know of one who did and was sited for not having the carpet in the airplane to be fire rated. The FAA must have not liked him  or something. My only concerned is that if it did happen if an individual was in an accident involving a fire, someone ...

Please remember that using off the shelf material must have fire retardent to be FAA approved.
Just a thought that might save you later headache if you are ramp checked.

Seats
I used Airtex for my seats and they worked out fine.
They do not look as good as if I had taken them to a shop and done a custom job but for the money they work and look ok. It did not take too long to do. Inspect our seats and paint them before re assembly.

Venturi Help
I ordered from Wag Aero part Number A016000 an 8 inch venturi that is suspose to turn Direction, horiz and T&B. I really need only to do two of the three.
But the "foot print is different than what I took off. I really do not want to drill new holes. My girl has enough holes now!
Thanks

Venturi Help
The foot pad measurements are 1.5 inches x 2.0 inches.
The venturi needs to be greater than a 4 inch preferably a 8-10 inch.
I am driving a Horiz and a Direction Gyro.
Any help is appreciated.

Venturi Help
Dear Memebers: I need to install a new venturi as my old one will not drive the newer instruments. I made a purchase from Wag Aero and the "foot print" is not the same as the old venturi. I really do not like the idea of drilling new holes and filling the old. Is there a larger venturi tha...
