Success!! That went better that I had expected. Turns out the two wires, was a single wire through the eye. Sure made the job easy. I was really afraid that I would unsolder both wires and have no way to hold them while I resoldered. New iron worked great!! Thanks everyone!!

I'm can solder fairly well with the right equipment, I currently have a crappy iron that rarely does any job very well. I guess I'll be shopping for a good one. Thanks Guys!

Fuse holder repair
I've been having trouble with my landing light fuse holder, I would have the push/twist it just right to make it work. Looking under the dash I've confirmed that this is a bad solder connection at the fuse holder. This looks like a repair that will be painful either way. My question is can we desold...

Mine are installed between the rear seat and interior walls, almost hidden unless you look for them. I'll get a picture of them this weekend.

It's has one installed. I see they may have better ones available now. But the noise developed in the way home from Oshkosh, until that time everything was good. It been steadily getting worse since. I have another one on loan I could swap it out and try it.

Jasco made by Sigtronics, owned by Hartzel sold all inventory and rights to the outfit in Tulsa. I'm temped to switch to plane power simply because parts are available, and most shops can perform an overhaul. But I see that some have had problems with plane power, so I'm not sure what the best solut...
