I bought mine from Aircraft Spruce and it was STC'd for the 170. Cost- close to 700.00. I run all new wiring in the wings for them with the power unit inside.

I use a towbar that slips over the tailwheel axle for pulling and pushing in and out of the hanger. Made it cheap and it slides in its own handle to collapse.

One reason that a screen is better than a paper filter is that the screen can't get a micro sized hole to bypass any debris. Air filters are noted for this when they get full and then any restriction gauge will show less and less restriction as the hole opens and allows dirt into the engine.

I was told that the Ponk kits are for flopping in short landings and don't help side loads.

When you drain the tanks through the gasolator, it acts as a siphon and gives different amounts. It would probably be best with full tanks and deduct weight. I went through this when I was repairing the fuel valve and had to drain about 3 times. Twice up level at flight position and another on all t...

I thought the "No Posts" were because everyone is having the same trouble I am. When I log in, it takes 2 logs, then none of the posts show any activity by coloring the bells. I can't tell any recent posts without looking for the dates and times of last posts.

login problems

I am having trouble the last 2 days that when I log in, none of the recent posts are hi-lighted. I have to hunt through the messages.
What might be my problem. Is it my computer or my login.

I can't look at my plane right now, but I'm sure I have 2 gooseneck vents on top. We did find the crossover vent plugged in the cabin roof. I'm not sure how JRA will rehook the vents when the wings are reinstalled. I'm sure it will be the proper way. s/n 18691

I close my oil pan opening with the side of a white oil container ribbed side. Make it oversize and cut slots as tabs on the end and slide the tab behind the cowel so that the main portion is outside and covered thus not having to pull paint with the tape. I am still looking for a good way for my 2 ...

I have the standard set up with 2 on the right and 1 on the left. My left tank always went down first, and having just done the wings, we found the one vent cross tube delibertly plugged. We are going to origional and I still have the unvented recessed caps. I am anxious to see how it now behaves wi...

The problem I had with bifocals was that the panel was too far for reading and I had to lean front to read the instruments. I went to the progressive lenses and I think it's great. My eyes aren't real bad at this point and maybe in the future they will be bad enough to have trouble with my periphera...
