Re: How are our Louisiana folks
George, what I am saying is that it is because the FEDERAL LAW states when the gates can be open needs to be changed. WE all know that rain /snow has to come down the Mississippi and there is no way to stop that. Instead of flooding everyone in MO. Ar. Tn. Ms. and La. the structures needed to be ope...

Re: How are our Louisiana folks
Del, back in the late 60's they open the control structure of the atchafalaya above Simmesport, La and the Mississippi river dropped 8 ft in a 24 hour period in Nawlins and they were getting salt water in the city drinking water system. shut it down immediately. So they have known for years that the...

Re: How are our Louisiana folks
Willie, on the way to the farm Monday--There are plenty of beans planted. I know one guy probably has well over 1000 acres planted. roughly at $75 per acre(estimate) he is in debt already and will lose all of it--by now it is probably under a foot or more water and will be for weeks to come. As of t...

Re: How are our Louisiana folks
Thanks for asking Willie--yesterday, I help some move from Butte LaRose, which is about 8 miles east of me. Monday I moved stuff from our farm which is just north of the Morganza spillway. The north levee is our south protection levee. We are in a triangle which is supossed to be safe :?: :?: :?: . ...

Re: BAS TAIL HANDLING HANDLES
Karl, the handles are in a tube and slide out just by putting your finger in the hollow handle and pull it out. It has a stop/cable to keep it from coming completely out. The buttons just cover the tube once the handles are slid back in. The handles go in far enough to put the buttons in without tou...

Re: BAS TAIL HANDLING HANDLES
Frank, I was thinking mine came with buttons. (thinking I know but it's been awhile). Home depot has the buttons-- ope the fingers and put a little more bend in each finger. that will make them a little tighter and the bend make it easier to install. Buy extras!!!! They are chrome-I painted mine ( p...

Re: medical question
Steve, your ME seems just like mine "BY THE BOOK" . I think the first time I used this guy we got into a 5 minute dicussion about hair color. Since I son't have much to start with, which is white in my opinion--that is not an FAA color. It turned out we were asking every body that walked b...

Re: medical question
Bruce, I agree forgetting to tell doc was a major deal not until I heard back did I even think of it. I am already on special issuance for the cancers, which is why I let the medical expire. I would assume after reading all the surgical reports as well as scan reports the other Dr. who is a me proba...

Re: medical question
George, I did and he talked with another Dr. and said I could get a special issurance. He will be out for about a month and I need to know a little more. I forgot to tell him about the insulin (don't really think about it much) :? :? and after reading the FAA stuff It will take about 6-9 months to m...

medical question
Guys, since my pancreatic surgery--I am now diabetic taking insulin (both kinds). Not much because the pancreas is still working. I had to let my medical expire since I did not have clearance from the oncologist, but I have that now. Reading the FAA stuff, It seems like I need all kinds of crap whic...

Re: O-300D Conversion
Guys, this is exactly what started this STC deal. Many airplanes had 337 that were legal and many did not. If you had a 337 stating removed 0-330-A and DM/MDM prop and instsalled 0-300-D with EM series prop your 337 is legal. However, many had on their 337 remove 0-300-A with approved prop and insta...
