Weight: ragwings vs As and Bs

I had my ragwing weighed last year. It has no vacum system, but two radios and a stereo intercom and CD player (the previous owner apparently liked his music) and it weighed in at 1343 lbs.

I'm also considering a push button starter. Any idea who has the best price on the two options?

Thanks to all for the great information! I have a Lowrance 100 (similar in size to the GPS III) that would be much easier to mount, but I've gotten to the age where the 100"s screen is a bit too small on the eyes!

GPS Mounting

I'm going to be buying either a Garmin 196 or a Lowrance 1000 to use in my ragwing. Has anyone found a good place and method to mount their GPS? I would like to avoid yoke mounting, and the space between the windshield and top of the panel is pretty tight. Also, Has anyone used the Ram suction mount...

Very helpful Vic, Thanks! I'll try the "tail low" method next time I go up.

Hi Vic! When we had the tailwheel up it appeared to be in alignment with the rudder. What is the best way to check main gear alignment? Thanks!

Thanks Shawn! Good to know that maybe I am expecting too much in the way of steering.

Thanks for the info Vic! I have been doing wheel landings most of the time, and I know what you mean about springy. That seems to be worse on takeoff for me than landing. What takeoff technique do you use?

Thanks for the speedy replies Doug and Bruce! The right brake is free and not dragging. I should have said that the plane taxis straight, but any left correction needed from uneven pavement, wind, gradient, etc. usually requires brake.
