Re: Flying Into Petit Jean
Hey come to Petit Jean Mtn this week - park by the two 170's on the lake end. Scott & Ginger flew in yesterday and are camping at the Airport Campground. Mather's Lodge Restaurant has been remodeled and they picked up a very good local cook - big improvement in atmosphere, food, & service. W...

Re: $100 Hamburger SOUTH CENTRAL (TX,OK,AR,LA)
Petit Jean State Park Lodge (Arkansas) is reopening after a $4.3 million upgrade of Mathers Lodge. http://couriernews.com/view/full_story/18439555/article-Petit-Jean-State-Park-lodge-reopening? Maybe I'll go take a look see - try to remember what 30, 170's look like parked at the campground. Well th...

Re: Photo Album
That does it! I'm planning to fly from GA to OK the latter half of April. I was trying to decide weather to make it a one day trip or stop somewhere. I'm now planning a stop at Gaston's. I've been seeing these posts about it every since I bought a plane and I haven't made it yet. Dave, I'll let you...

Telluride! Huge runway, wonderful mountain town, some of the prettiest country in the world, and an incredible gondola. Those of us with 80" props could climb up to Leadville.Convention ideas, anyone...???

Re: You may live in Alaska...
I hunt for the love of hunting! I’m a Sport Hunter, was even a Licensed Alaskan Big Game Guide. I’ve absolutely loved hunting my entire life. I remember getting up before daylight, tagging along with my dad, when I was 6 yrs old. I might not have done very well harvesting a deer with my BB gun, ...

Re: Buying a HangAr
So the lawyer said the only way I could get assurance that the IRS wouldn't confiscate the Hangar, would be to get them to put it in writing. Well I couldn't get anything from the IRS - could hardly even get a hold of anyone who'd talk on the subject. Even though the IRS had said, in court, they wer...

Thanks Doug - I have most of that paperwork.
Guess I'll be gathering it all up for a lawyer soon.

Re: Buying a HangAr
Well we're still going forward - got signature from owner (incarcerated), found proof that he owned the LLC listed as owner of property, sent a few thousand to the state for back taxes so that the Hangar is cleared to come back to local court, where I'll pay the last two years. Should be cleared to ...

Re: Buying a HangAr
Thanks Johneeb - but I doubt that catch will help his humbleness. C'mon George even I know how to spell too! I asked a co-pilot about the ar vs er in Hangar - and after considerable deliberation we both came to the conclusion that it was misspelled in the forum. He's been helping me with the Hangar ...

Re: Buying a Hanger
Yes this is the Hanger we've been in since the move from Alaska. I'm spoiled now! Insurance - another step I'll have to deal with. It never ends - hey but we finally finished 1 of the 2 rent houses, we've been remodeling for a year. And Dakota already scored a 28 on the ACT exam (10th grade). Unfort...

Re: Buying a Hanger
I think that's very good advice, especially in this situation, George. I'd hate to find out there were leans or have the IRS come get it due to the owner's tax problems. Guess a Realestate Lawyer? The airport (city) gets the hanger (if you leave it on the leased property) after the lease is done, un...
