Re: Baffling off an O-300D
Hey, Kyle. I have two sets of 0-300A/C-145 baffles that came off of a 56/54 respectively. I'll give you one set if you'll pay for shipping.
I bought a new set and don't need these.

Places to visit in the Michigan UP?
We have a game warden convention in Sault Ste Marie next summer. Instead of driving up I thought about flying. I'd probably land at ANJ and drive over to the Canadian side for the convention. I don't really know the particulars of taking the plane across the border. Anyone have recommendations for n...

Re: Rick Romans or Aircraft Specialties for cam/crank insp.?
Romans called today and said there was too much corrosion on the backside of the prop flange. The death of an otherwise good crankshaft.

Re: Overhaul time
Started making metal. Oil temp is pegging out after about 5 minutes flight. Oil pressure is 30# in flight. Running like it is missing.
I have right at 1700 hours on it and it was running fine until it leaked almost all of the oil out in flight.

Overhaul time
Had an oil leak at the oil filter adapter last week and now I'm looking at overhaul.
I got a quote for a little over 14 grand from Jewell in Missouri. I'm shopping around. Any suggestions?
How does a factory overhaul from Continental compare in price?
Thanks,
Rob

Re: Gulf Shores Convention
I enjoyed coming down for Airport Day and attending the auction. Thanks to the Spivey's for putting it all together. It was nice to meet some of you. I will just say that I felt bad about getting so close to the target with my bomb so I went ahead and really showed out on the spot landing by landing...

Flying the Smokies
Have any of y'all done any "back country" flying in the western NC mountains? Looks like a good many private strips in the area just north of the Georgia border. I was curious as to which ones were usable by permission for flying in and camping.
Thanks,
Rob

170C, it's 1900', I just planted the Bermuda the last week of March. An ag pilot buddy made two passes over it with urea fertilizer in May, then we got 2 weeks of rain. I've never seen Bermuda grow so quickly! I've mowed it twice already and there's hardly a place you can look down and see dirt now....
