I found on line a beautiful picture of a polished C170 Serge Blue , N2548D. I found back the owner via the FAA registration .I contacted him...

Thank you very much Tim!tps500 wrote:Fred,
The paint is Randolph enamel. Just mix with the Randolph thinner to shoot. I left the case out in the sun in the summer in Texas to bake it on a little. It has been 2 years and the paint still looks like I just painted it.

I will call them this week .

Re: Color scheme O-300B
OK, I found a picture, but it is hard to see the true color. It may be worth a call to Aircraft Technical Support. They were very helpful. The engine I did was an A65, and I bought a quart and some thinner, and I did two engines. The color was closer to the second picture. All of the pictures of Co...

Re: Color scheme O-300B
With all the talk of original colors, with the different paint sources around, I would think that perhaps it would be best to match colors using Pantone matching system. Re: Color scheme O-300B
I overhauled an engine a few years back and found this outfit in Ohio . They will mix the proper grey for you in Randolph enamel. http://www.aircrafttechsupport.com/ Tim Tim , I don't need to buy the paint from them as I have my own source for that but I just need to know the color . So if you did ...

Re: Color scheme O-300B
