Re: hangar floor paint
After building new T-hangars two years ago, I was looking for a floor coating. Home Depot suggested I use Hospital floor wax. Just mop on a coat let dry and mop on another. Initially I put on five coats in one day. The stuff is anti-skid and anti-static for use on hospital floors. It shines up well,...

Watching that video I started humming the theme music to the old sit-com WINGS. Very nice work and good landing.

Re: Vernier Mixture and Throttle
After looking at a 60 year old throttle and always wondering when it was going to come off in my hands I went with the standard Cessna replacement. The mixture lock was broken, so I went with the vernier control. Now to lean out the mixture I pretend I have a 300hp up front. Lots of fun.

Re: Landing Gear question
As I remember the price you only get one leg for $6,000. Most of us would have trouble landing with that.

Re: Cowl latch info?
The Dip Davis latches work like a Piper Pacer or Cherokee. Best investment for the $s I ever made in the airplane. They work and the cowl can not come open.

Re: Back Seat Communication jack location
I put my jacks, like Robert Eilers, on the floor under the back of the back seat. They come up thru the center of the seat, and with long cords can be moved off to the side when the rear seat is out. I don't even do a separate weight and balance when I move them

Worlds most versitle tractor
Here is a picture of Eric Osmuth of Sandhill Aviation with his latest inventionthe 'Hungarian Aero Werks 8N". The prop can be engaged and the machine will try to leap into the air, jumping like a flying horse. Then the prop is lowered to mow grass and brush. I know all you tractor guys will wan...

Re: O-300 Tuned exhaust
BL, Your mind is forgetting that I sent you the stats of my change with a Lycoming 320 in a 172. I didn't buy the Donkey Dink, but opted for their new version that is no different from original. My answer, don't waste your money. I did get much improved climb, with no other changes. You can replace ...

Re: George and bluelder on Jay Leno
Dick, You are an inspiration. Get the cub or an champ and fly when you want. I was with a man, Crocker Snow, when he got his medical renewed at 96. Your just a kid. I still remember the engine you sold me that you said burned a quart every five hours and it really burned one in ten hours, but that's...

Re: George and bluelder on Jay Leno
Good question. I didn't want to make anyone feel bad, but we all would have lost on the Leno show. Anyway, I always thought Bluelder was short for Blue Leader and I'm sticking to that.
