Re: AUTOPILOT
Guys, I don't think this is a fly by night shop at all. Do your homework and make a good decision. It appears others have trusted Paul and it has paid off. I have told Paul, that I'm will to put up $500.00 to help with the development if he could get a few others to pitch in also. He hasn't asked an...

AUTOPILOT
Paul Odum has autopilot stc's for different aircraft. Paul needs someone on the west coast preferably, to let him use their C-170 for an stc. The cost to develop the stc is around 11K. If we could get some of the C-170 owners to pitch in, Paul will put together an stc. Paul uses the Trio Avionics au...

Re: Installing A TCM IO360
Guys, I also believe the 172 muffler are larger and don't think they will work. The Knisley exhaust would be the best to work with the EGT probes. I will give them a call on Monday. Since so many are having the some problem, it would be great if we could get one shop to build the parts for everyone?...

Re: Installing A TCM IO360
John, Tom had told me that you had the same problem with the heat exchanger. I have a set of exhaust from a 1967 C-172 that had the O-300-D. I will see if I can salvage something from it tomorrow. Concerning the risers, I see these have to angle toward the engine to clear the mount and exit the cowl...

Re: Installing A TCM IO360
Guys, I'm working on the exhaust. I have the longer heat exchanger on the right side (1955 B Model). Talking with Tom Anderson, I'm trying to come up with a easier was to fabricate the exhaust. My existing heat exchanger will not work. I see John has posted some great pictures and I also see some ex...

LH UPPER DOOR HINGE 0511106-18
I'm trying to locate an upper door hinge for a 1955 170B that is in good used condition? The part number is 0511106-18.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Larry

Re: Replacement axle for 170B
Doug,
I purchased a steel replacement axle from Aircraft Spruce yestserday. The axles that you have, are they steel? If so, what are you asking for them?

I'm going to have to replace the one axle on my 170B (1955). Lot of confussion on which part to use. Which is the best replacement axle and use my existing Cleveland wheel (600x6)?
