Avionics run off of Turn Bank Coordinator Switch?
I noticed today that my avionics are run off of my turn and bank coordinator switch. Is this an acceptable practice if the load is added up and the fuse adjusted accordingly? The avionics also has its own inline fuses.

I just noticed that my tailwheel only goes around 270deg and then locks up, am I correct in saying that this isn't correct and the tailwheel needs taken apart and rebuilt?
Thanks,
Randy

Re: Fuel Caps
Thanks guys, my airplane sat for a number of years and only has the vented cap on the right wing. I understand the importance of the right cap venting and just wanted to make sure it still does. Additionally the rubber on them has made it very difficult to remove the caps. I tried soaking the rubber...

I would like to buy some new fuel caps, just because mine are so old. Is there anywhere to find a decent price on these, at first glance the prices are ridiculous.

Re: Where to find 35 Amp Generator
I just looked into this and in case anybody wants to know it's $244 for them to rebuild your current generator. $444 for an exchange but you get $200 back when they get the core. So in the end $244 for a rebuild. I am not sure what I am going to do yet, the shop I took mine to has parts blah blah bl...

Can anyone suggest where I can find a 35Amp Generator for my 1952 C170B. Mine has been in the shop for several weeks, and their is always another excuse on why it isn't finished. I figure if I buy another one, at least I have a spare.

Re: Fuel Tank Inspection/Repairs
With the help of this site, I just had the tops off my tanks. I too had to file slots in a few of the screws. When I put them back in, I used SS on everything but the leading edges, of which I was informed were structural. I dipped every leading edge screw in zinc chromate on the recommendation of s...

Re: Polarize Generator After Turning Master Switch Off Every
Following all George's recommended tests from the other post, we concluded that the generator although just rebuilt was the culprit. Took it to the shop and they concurred that that the armature was burned out. Awaiting my generator back.... Thanks all

Thank John, I wasn't sure if I could trust the IPC on wire or not. Especially since the mags and igntions have had so many AD's.
