I ended up using them after I went to the mountain flying seminar in Challis, Idaho. An instructor that I had flown with there was a very experienced bush...

N2830C, did you fix this problem? On mine I would take off the front door post / wing root vent trim, disconnect the pitot connection there and blow the water out through the pitot. Easier than getting under the panel, and you can also watch through the windshield to see if any water comes out. My a...

Dave, have you fixed this leak? Check carefully to see if there isn't something keeping the generator mounting surface from being pulled tight up to the accessory case. Like a nick or burr on the generator, or on the accy case area. Look to see if the mounting studs have backed out enough make the n...

Indopilot, I have seen a lot of 170s with those wrinkles, probably from past ground loops, or almost-ground loops, and hard landings. Check out older 180's and 170's, some have large skin-doublers in this area (just aft of the gearbox running aft), which are most likely reinforcing the wrinkled skin...

20 BUCKS?? Now I KNOW I saw you digging for coins under your seats! Max,what you didn't see was me digging for coins under YOUR seats! I love those 170 lunch get-togethers! When's the next one?-- there's a few other upgrades I need to fund! Eric Well Eric, I'm sure my aircraft is now coin-free if y...

Bruce, looks like you have this handled, but for future reference we should all have a copy of Continental's SB96-7B, service bulletin on torque limits. This bulletin has extensive tables on what torques are to be used for what fastener in which engine by specific location. There are also tables for...
