Re: Radio replacement suggestions
You guys will laugh at this but the older I get - the more those big numbers such as on the ICOM
IC-A210 seem very appealing. I have seen the becker units in print but have never spoken to anyone who used one - anyone have any experience with them ??

Re: lower rudder skins
Last year I needed both lower skins to replace cracked skins and purchaed them from Karl Anderson. He was great, VERY reasonable and sent them right out. If you need it let me know and I can dig up the price, but like I said even with shipping it was much cheaper. Just required some minor trimmimg.....

Re: Panel Trim Rings
George, My thanks... One of these days when I get a webb page up and running I'll be able to post pictures of how my panel is coming along. Actually we are making good progress, the sub panel is almost conpleted and the overlay panel has all the holes cut. I'm now in the process of making some "...

Panel Trim Rings
Good Afternoon Everyone, I have looked in my copy of the IPC but am unable to locate trim rings for the 2 1/4" gage panel holes. I have a few spare 3" rings but seek some 2 1/4" pieces. Are they made, and what is the part number? Oh yes, the correct location in my IPC would be helpful...

Re: Maintenance guy needs help
Hi Del,
Yup, in 1998, I had purchased a set from the same company (Lake & Air) for my 182, they worked slick... Not sure if they are still offered.
Best wishes,
Kyle

Re: Rudder Cable Turnbuckle Question
John,
Thanks for the reply - I'll check the link plates and have another look when I get back. Not sure how I posted to this area - no wonder I couldn't find the thing when I checked back. What is the reason for the different lenghts on the clevis ends?
Thanks... Kyle

Rudder Cable Turnbuckle Question
Good Evening Everyone, I have a question although I'm on the road and don't have my parts manual in front of me. OK the question... I'm trying to ensure proper rigging on the rudder and I previously supplied my mechanic with part numbers for the turnbuckles and end fittings. When viewed and checked ...

Re: Oil Pressure and Temp Gage
Vic,
I'll give him a call - thanks... I'll also send you a PM as I wouls really like to see some pics of your plane now that it's done.
Hope all is well on your end. I should have looked you up as I was in Sandy Hook and Bayone visiting some Coast Guard units there a few weeks back.

Re: KX-125 question
George, Thanks for clarifying. It's all starting to make sense. My next steps are to take the 3 basic equipment combinations I've come up with, list all the needed equipment to make it work and decide which way to go. When I do, I'm trying to be realistic and knowing the more individual parts and pi...

Re: Oil Pressure and Temp Gage
Good Evening Everyone, Thanks for your collective responses. I did a bit further searching and believe it's Richard Pulley's panel that has that gage in the original position. I'll try to get a PM out to him for any particulars he might have. OK - John E, with that panel - have you flown (or should ...

Re: KX-125 question
Thanks George... So if I understand you correctly, the way this works is that the KX 125 would read the signal picked up by the glideslope receiver, and then send it to an indicator, at the same time it sends its own NAV signal to the same receiver. Further (If I have this right) setting an ILS freq...

Oil Pressure and Temp Gage
Another instrument question - Does anyone have any experience with the Electronics International's combination oil temp / oil pressure gage - the OPT-1. It's apparantly a 2 1/4" gage and I wonder if it can directly replace the current oil temp gage I have next to the pressure gage. If I could -...

KX-125 question
Good Afternoon Everyone, Still moving forward (slowly) on my panel project and I have a couple of questions about my KX-125. From what I can dig up on the webb, this radio will "channel" a seperate glideslope receiver and "drive an external CDI, with or without a converter, such as th...
